Present and future of Spanish aquaculture

Spain is one of the European Union’s largest aquaculture producers.
Aquaculture constitutes a number of specific techniques for the cultivation of hydrobiological species in natural environments or artificial environments that can be controlled. It is a major sector in Spain, and this talk will give us an insight into the industry with an X-ray of the present situation (production data, jobs, number of facilities etc.).
We will also learn about the new strategic guidelines drawn up by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing and Food to make aquaculture sustainable between 2021 and 2030.
